Revenue accounting is responsible for ensuring that our Passenger and ancillary revenues are recorded in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Passenger revenue accounting has multiple areas of exposure in relation the revenue recognition. We ensure that our revenue accounting system is working appropriately and any errors are worked. We perform data analytics relating to sales, revenue and refund data.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with testing new releases of the Passenger Revenue Accounting System (Sirax.) along with monthly regression testing.
Assist with testing for the Lone Star and Polaris projects to ensure Sirax and downstream information is accurately reflected.
Create process documentation around key processes.
Assist with data analytic requests from both Internal and External Customers.
Ad Hoc projects and research.
Process work queues and error queues to ensure tickets are accounted for properly.
Work closely with Internal and External Auditors to supply timely documentation requests.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
This position requires authorization to work in the United States as a permanent employee without sponsorship.
Progress towards degree with a major/minor in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or required.
Minimum Sophomore level.
To be eligible must be currently enrolled as a full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours.)
Maintained 3.0 or above cumulative GPA.
Previous professional or academic exposure to CI/CD concepts or practice preferred.
Graduate Level course work a plus.
Coursework Accounting preferred.
Looking for an individual who is motivated.
Previous SAP experience is a plus.
Desire/Interest to work in the field of Accounting is preferred.
Desire/Interest in financially impacting projects.
Must possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
Able to consume and analyze large amounts of data.
Able to create pivot tables and utilize V-Lookups using Excel required.
Able to use Word to write memos communicating the result of their work.
Able to use PowerPoint to build presentations for verbal communications.
Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
Able to work independently and willing to function as part of a team.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
