Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Monitor the mechanical performance of the aircraft systems, structure, and components to ensure the highest level of safety and reliability through effective analysis and corrective action plans which support compliance with FAA regulations related to a Reliability Program.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

 

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

 

Must be at least 18 years of age.

 

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

 

EDUCATION:

 

Progress towards a degree with a major/minor in Aviation or Engineering related field.

 

Minimum junior level.

 

To be eligible must be currently enrolled as a full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours).

 

Maintained 2.75 or above cumulative GPA.

 

Progress towards F.A.A. Airframe & Powerplant license and/or pilot license is preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

Audit aircraft defect reports ATA Codes.

 

Review, monitor, and evaluate repetitive pilot alerts.

 

Compiles and distributes Reliability Reports (MRR, RCB, Ad Hoc).

 

Coordinates Reliability Meetings.

 

Work with Senior Analyst to review and evaluate maintenance discrepancies generated from pilot write-ups, maintenance write-ups, and non-routine cards.  Initiate actions on findings that show an adverse trend.

 

Work closely with other departments such as Technology, Finance, and Safety to support access to data.

 

Work closely with Engineering and other organizations to support Reliability Program and aircraft performance related requests.

 

Comply with directives set forth by the manager of Aircraft Reliability.

 

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:

 

Work experience in a professional aviation or aerospace environment is desired.

 

Prior experience with FAA requirements or aircraft maintenance is preferred.

 

A working knowledge of aircraft systems and structure is desired.

 

Must possess the ability to read and understand diagrams, manuals, and technical documents.

 

Must be able to work without immediate supervision and prioritize assignments by budgeting time effectively.

 

Must be able to work under tight time constraints to accomplish assignments and projects.

 

Must be able to analyze data and prepare detailed memos, reports and presentation by using excellent verbal and written skills.
