Responsibilities

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Intern will support the Marketing Solutions Team.

 

Coordinates with various Southwest Marketing teams to develop, review, and analyze requirements for audience pulls used in survey, analytical, and promotional requests.

 

Creates and develops IBM / Adobe campaigns based on specifications provided by business owners.

 

Performs data validation to ensure campaigns and SQL queries meet the specified requirements for developed campaigns.

 

Reviews and validates data produced by other Marketing Solutions team members as part of a QC process.

 

Collaborates with Database Development and Campaign teams for root cause analysis and defect resolution.

 

Liaison between internal departments and vendors.

 

Research data discrepancies

 

Special projects as needed

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

 

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required. 

 

Must be at least 18 years of age.

 

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

 

EDUCATION:

 

Progress toward undergraduate in Marketing, Business, Management Information Systems, or a related degree

 

Minimum junior level.

 

To be eligible must be currently enrolled as a full time student (minimum 12 credit hours).

 

Maintained 3.0 or above cumulative GPA.

 

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:

 

Experience in SQL preferred.

 

Experience with user acceptance testing (UAT) preferred.

 

Experience working with relational databases preferred.

 

Microsoft Office experience is preferred.

 

Experience with Microsoft Excel is required.

 

Ability to learn new systems quickly.

 

Problem-solving ability and strong written/verbal communications skills.

 

Must have a strong attention to detail.

 

Ability to stay organized and manage multiple and concurrent assignments, while meeting deadlines.

 

Involvement in student organizations, social service, and leadership roles is preferred. 

 

Works well in a culture that is open, direct, respectful, courteous, and compassionate.

 

Candidate must be a quick learner, self-motivated, team-oriented, and possess a sense of humor.

 

Feels comfortable leading a project in a new work environment with adequate amounts of coaching from Supervisors.
